Just uploaded to the site today is a Safety Statement Template suitable for the majority of Secondary Schools. This is a very comprehensive document that contains policies on Accident Reporting, Childhood illnesses, Medicines Administration, Bullying of Staff, EAP and many more school specific topics. There are also risk assessments on Caretaker activities, Art, Science, PE, Home Economics, Chemical Storage/Usage to name just a few. Due to the fact that there is a huge variety of subjects on offer at schools across the country, risk assessments on the equipment used in the Technology Rooms for Woodwork and Metalwork are not included. If your school offers these subjects then we highly recommend that you supplement the Template with the Subject specific Risk Assessments that are available from the Education section of the HSA Website.
